Stuart Tolley Studio is the online home of U.K.-based Stuart Tolley, who was previously a designer at Sleazenation, and then Esquire Magazine. Stuart formed his own studio to house his award winning work - created for various lifestyle clients from the world of independent record labels and book publishers, to fashion labels and magazine publishers. We had to dip to the old Digitalthread to find out that we first posted up Ben W. Tousley's portfolio back when he was only 17 years old in 2004! Now a ripe 20, Ben sends us a notice of an update of new works... and we can't say we are at all disappointed. In fact, more impressed than ever that this tidy graphic designer has found his own niche in creating some strong promotional and print designs for music bands, with the occasional poster thrown in. Telegramme is a pretty cool little design and illustration partnership specialising in silk screen printing of posters and patterns. Initially a collaboration working via the postal service, Telegramme snowballed in to a fully fuctional studio thanks to a mutual love of music, art and the receiving of post. We really liked their gritty mixed up illustration style that balances old vintage images with new computer design techniques - which coalesces nicely in their afore-mentioned poster and pattern designs. I once knew a graffiti artist who never stopped drawing in his black book until every inch of white space was covered. Eduardo's rough and doodly sketches, scenes, paintings and art kind of remind me of that kind of obsessiveness. It's driven by a desire to create and express and have fun and make the most of every experience. And the results are the fantastic layered mixed media pieces Eduardo brings to life. But now here's the kicker... Unique as Eduardo's work is... Rocking one of the best logos we have seen in quite some time, "Me" is actually "We" - meaning a two man design agency based in Amsterdam. Specializing in typography, corporate identity, and naturally print, this site doubles as portfolio and daily blog of photos of great found type and art and stuff that shows how they think... which in turn, just may change the way you think. It's certainly great to see some daily shots of Dutch design from the Netherlands, and share some of the inspirations they seem to draw upon to create the strong type and graphic design in their porfolio. Tnop Wangsillapakun – the man with one of the most unique names in design – has struck out to make a (new) name for himself... He has truly gone off the deep end and commited himself to focus on his bePOS|+|VE design studio, as well as do more of experimental and conceptual design work that he really enjoys. Formerly a senior designer with Carlos Segura at Segura, Inc. (Chicago), Tnop is originally from Bangkok, Thailand, and was schooled in the States at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
